!!!!!!!!!THIS IS OUR VERY FIRST RESTAURANT REVIEW!!!!!!!!
The Bellaviva Food Club met for dinner at Danielle’s Restaurant on Friday, July 29th and this is what we thought:
We made a reservation for 7pm and, after parking in Eveready Square, were promptly seated in a corner of the pub side of the restaurant. There are four different seating areas in Danielle’s and the pub side is the loudest of the lot. It was very hard to hold a conversation over the club-style music playing in the background. The decor of the pub is very rustic with exposed air vents and a lovely fireplace in the corner of the bar.
The dinner menu contains a wonderful variety of items from which to choose. Selections include fish and chicken dishes, pasta, and wood-fired pizza. Rob chose rockfish with garlic mashed potatoes, one of the house specials. Catey selected the seared scallops with crab risotto. Jamie ordered the Ahi tuna steak served with garlic mashed potatoes. JJ chose the eggplant lasagne. Everett, our guest reviewer, selected the baked ziti Our waitress was very attentive and polite. After we ordered our food and received our drinks, the waitress brought us house-made rosemary bread with a plate of dipping oil that consisted of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, herbs, and spices. Although they ran out of Rob and Catey’s favorite beer, the waitress offered good alternatives.
Four of our meals arrived together. After a brief wait, the fifth entree was served. The presentation was elegant and appealing.
